Dear Friends in Jesus,
I am struggling with how to help my parents and their sadness. My dad, Leland, is 75, and my mom, Juanita, is 73 today. The problem with their age group is that they continually see their friends and people they have known for years pass away. It seems that each week or two they are attending a funeral. How can I help them see that they are blessed to be in their golden years and that this should be the best time in their lives? I Thess. 5: 16-18 has helped tremendously, but how can I help them take it into their hearts? Thanks for your love and support.

Dear Praises:
Thank you so much for your message this Mother's Day morning. I am convicted to renew my faith and make an even greater effort to be a role model to my children. I am reminded to always put God first in my life, not try to squeeze Him in around my schedule. So often I get so busy, and frankly I am very tired and not just a little resentful when I get home form work and have my "second shift" as mother, cook, laundress, etc. Please pray for me to always count it a joy and a blessing that I do have a wonderful family to go home to.
Dear Lord, this is my committment to You...that I will be Your example to my children and husband. God bless all families across this nation and this world and especially, God help all us mothers today and everyday.
Peace and Joy!

My prayer request today is for two of my childrens' friends who are serving our country in Iraq and in the Phillipens...David Joubert (Army) and Chris Pardue (Marines). They are brave young men, but I know they are fearful. (Who wouldn't be?) Pray that they are strong in the name of the Lord, and that God will lead them to do great things in His name. Pray that His angels will cover them with God's protection and bring them home safe and whole. Pray for the innocents who suffer around the world. Hi; just wondering if you all would mind praying for John; he's a very special man I care deeply for--but he also has a very wounded heart; he reached out to me a few weeks back--then now he pulls away from everybody; he's also recently lost a close friend and is scared to death of love; if I didn't care so much for him, I'd run from him! He's making me want to pull my hair out with worry for him but instead I'll just request prayers for him; thanks so much! God bless each one; love, Mary

Thank you so much for the joyous New Year's prayers. Yes, we need to pray that the Lord will be forever in us, with us, and around us guiding us, protecting us, and allowing us to feel His power and love. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! My prayer request today is for my husband Joe. He is a professional man who is self employed. Our business is truly under assault by many greedy and unscrupules forces. My husband is a good man who goes above and beyond what is required of him. Governmental regulations keep increasing, his business insurance has increased ten fold, and the joy has gone out of his work. Lately he has been tremendously discouraged. I believe he has come to a crossroads, and needs prayer about what path he should take. Please pray for wisdom for him and a renewal of purpose and faith. His decision will affect not only his life and our family's life, but the lives of many others. Please pray that the Lord will lead him in his decision-making and that God will open up career opportunities for him. Please pray for our protection against all evil, for I truly believe we are under assault. My husband is a Godly man who has a tremendous heart for those in need and especially for children. Pray for my husband to "give it to the Lord and seek His path." Thanks for listening.

Just a couple of quick items for prayer. First, Ruth was denied the right to travel to Mexico so she will not be able to come for Christmas or at any other time. The immigration sent her a request to withdraw her application. We understand it will be another 2 and a half to 3 years before she receives permission to travel
outside the USA. Bummer, huh?
Second, Pastor Serbiano wife was brutally murdered at the door of their house in Oxaca (pronounced wo-ha-ka) We are in touch with a Spanish missionary who lives about a weeks travel in the mountains from Pastor Serbiano and he will try to contact him. He has 8 children and we are inviting him to come and live with us up here in Miguel Aleman. He can use your prayers. We need your prayers as well. It will cost about 600 US dollars for him to take the bus and move his family up here, but we believe God will answer the need if Pastor Serbiano wants to come.

Dear Praises,
Glory to God in the Highest, and peace to his people on earth! God is GOOD!!! Thank you for your inspirational message today. The story of the blind girl selling apples really touched my heart today. It is so tempting to keep on going even when you know God is pulling at you to stop. It was no accident that the salesman went back to help her. He simply headed God's call. There are so many people we meet each day who may not be physically blind, but none the less, they are blind. They are blind to God's beauty and to God's presence in their lives. Let's pray for all of those who pretend or choose not to see, to have God's magnificent light open up their spiritual eyes so that they can see and experience His love. Amen!
I have a special prayer request today. My father is suffering from a degenerative loss of vision due to macular degeneration. This condition is caused by several factors including the aging of the eye, but also he had been a heavy smoker for 25+ years (thank the Lord that he is now free from the bondage of tobacco) and also suffered from overexposure to sunlight. He farmed and worked out of doors for many years and did not realize he was damaging his eyes by not wearing sunglasses. He just received bad news; his eyes are continuing to degenerate. He has peripheral vision only, but in time, he may go completely blind. He is 74 years old, and is trying hard not to give up hope. But as you can imagine, he is very depressed about the dire prognosis. Please pray that God will heal him and restore his vision. Through God, all things are possible. I believe God can return his vision to him and I am asking Him for a miracle for my dad. Please pray for my dad's return to full sight. His name is Leland, and he is a great dad and grandpa who loves the Lord, his family, and life. Thanks for listening, and thanks for your prayers.
Keep the Faith! Karen

Hi; just wanted to share a bit of a praise report with you: Mark not only came to the Tuesday night potluck but he stayed all the way through the Bible study afterwards! For Mark, this is a step in the right direction indeed! :) He still has a tough shell around him, at least where I'm concerned, but I am encouraged to pray all the harder for him. Like I told my girlfriend tonight, even if Mark and I never have the relationship I desire for us to have, my love and prayers for him are unceasing and with his best interests at heart, whether or not he ever loves me this side of Heaven. Honestly, I'd love to see him so healed and us so comfortable that I become his wife and the mother of his baby but I'm just happy to be seeing some progress; thank you so much for your prayers on his behalf; God bless you! Keep up the good work--things are happening for Mark! :) By the way, please let me know if you ever need prayer; I LOVE to pray!! LOL! :D God bless ya;

Thank you soooooooooo much!!! :) I apologize I'm slow on responding myself--been too busy to be online much--lol! :D
I deeply appreciate your prayers for Mark; I have tried not to love him but I've given up; think God wants me to love him 'cause it goes way beyond the romantic; romantically I cannot be with him but my love for him is agape. And yeah, romantic too--but that's a one-way street unfortunately. Anyway, thanks so much! I am eager to write back with a praise report on him one day! :)
God bless you guys; love Mary
PS--thank you also for your beautiful words of encouragement in the other letter; words can wound or heal--and yours certainly heal! :)
God bless!

Hi: Here I am with another prayer request. Remember a couple of years ago when our new grandson had to have angioplasty as his heart valve was not open. He has done so well up until now.
He just had his yearly exam on Monday and they found that the left side of his heart is enlarged and some time this year he will need open heart surgery and then every three to five years after that until he quits growing. Our hearts are just broken as he seemed to be doing so well.
On Monday he goes in to have his heart monitored for 24 hours and then we will know more. Please pray for him, I know you know a lot of prayer partners so please pass this on.

Dear Praises,
Thank you so much for today's Word! It truly spoke to me and has unburdened my heart from the many things I have been concerned about. I really need prayer for my daughter who is away at college. When she first got there last year, she immediately became involved with a Christian group on campus which was such a blessing. She still regularly attends, but she is being pulled into wordly things. She is searching for happiness in wrong places, and needs prayer for a return to her Christian friends. Her biggest problem has been her break-up with her boyfriend of 2 1/2 years. They dated during her last year of high school and then for a year in college, but she soon found out that he had used the Christian activites of our church just as a social outlet without the real committment. He, who had proclaimed his undying love for her, suddenly told her that he didn't love her, and within a week had moved in with an older young lady who is divorced. I know their break up is for the best, and Thank the Lord they had not yet married, but my daughter's heart is broken. God is healing it, but she is still devastated. I've told her that it takes time to heal. Please pray that God will show her a purpose in all of this and will heal her heart. Pray that she will turn to Jesus and not to the world to deal with this crisis. She loves the Lord. Pray for Him to intervene and bring her back to His fold. Pray for her to lay her troubles at the Lord's feet and bow down to Him, to humble herself and give it to God. Please pray for her protection because she is very vulerable at this time. Thanks for listening, and God bless you and your ministry. My daughter's name is Megan and she attends the Univ. of Oklahoma.

Please be in prayer for me I have been declared with bipolar disorder and manic depression, anxiety and panic attacks. This is a very distrubing deasease for me because I have worked so hard for the Lord in the past helping people I could, doing odd jobs for them, wittnessing to them, even talking and wittnessing to some here on the internet. Now I can't remember things, and it is very hard for me to go through each day. I know one day God is going to heal me from all this and I will be on my feet back where I am suppose to be. Dear Family In Christ,
Please pray for me as I have been having problems and in despair and despondent over my son and daughter. I have a broken heart to see my children walking in darkness and needing the Lord. I have been praying daily for them. My son needs the Lord and I am asking Him to send him some christian friends and a Godly wife. He isn't hanging out with drinking buddies anymore and he needs to open his heart to salvation and have fellowship with the Lord's family to encourage him.
He would like so very much to have a relationship with the right girl and settle down and have a home of his own and that is my desire as well. I have been praying many times a day now for five or six years and have not as yet seen a hint of an answer. I do know our time is not the same as the Lord's, so I need prayer for peace and reassurance that the Lord has already answered along time ago.
Also for my daughter who has backslidden from the Lord and seeing the wrong group of friends. She has been seeing a very wordly man who has pulled her down with him while she is married. Her husband does not have a problem with this relationship as he also sees other women as well. I'm talking about two who loved the Lord and have gone to church all their loves. Please pray!

A friend sent me the "Lord's Prayer" and I was able to visit your website. I have been looking for Christian websites to visit and I have truly been blessed by yours. I am a novice at using the computer and have a lot to learn. I am trying to save some of the poems so I can read them often. Thank you for your ministry. I pray the Lord will bless you and your family.

This is my second maybe third time here to sign your guest book. Your web site is really nice, but your work with your poetry for the Lord's service is what I really enjoy. Mark told me about your ministry, wouldn't it be nice if every Christian put just one page on the Web that glorified God?
